Last month, LaKota Oaks hosted its inaugural ribbon-cutting and tree-planting ceremony in honor of former Mayor, Frank Zullo. More than 50 people attended from Norwalk, CT, and the surrounding communities to celebrate the new ownership and management of LaKota Oaks, as well as the life of Zullo, who passed away earlier this year. Attendees included LaKota Hotels & Resorts President Sam Haigh; Norwalk Mayor Harry Rilling; Norwalk Chamber President Brian Griffin; Norwalk Community College President David Levinson; new owner of LaKota Oaks, Hafeez Choudhary, Queens Plaza LLC; Silvermine Arts Center Gallery Director Roger Mudre; as well as several members of the West Norwalk Association,and the entire LaKota Oaks operations and management team.

 

The Cordish Companies and Live! Casino & Hotel celebrated the grand opening of the flagship Live! Hotel in Hanover, MD, the first hotel in the world to carry the Live! brand name. It adds 310 rooms, including 52 suites; two restaurants; a day spa and salon; a 4,000-seat event center; and Club 21, the only private gaming area in a hotel in Maryland

 

The DoubleTree by Hilton in Nashua, NH, recently completed an $11-million renovation, and rebranded from a Wyndham to a Hilton.
