Stylish air diffusers reduce water condensation

Air diffusers are a crucial part of any HVAC system as they distribute conditioned air evenly throughout a room. Most conventional diffusers, however, are prone to condensation, causing issues like mold and water damage, and add nothing to the design aesthetic.

IviAir’s air diffusers not only seamlessly integrate with interior architecture, but also significantly reduce diffuser condensation, according to Marc Mascarello, the Brooklyn, NY-based company’s head of design.

“InviAir diffusers offer three key benefits,” he said. “First, they reduce condensation by 95%, thereby lowering the risk of water damage, mold and maintenance costs. Second, they’re designed with a minimalist, almost invisible aesthetic that blends into any interior design, enhancing the ambiance rather than distracting from it. Finally, our linear diffusers handle double the airflow of leading competitors, meaning you can have the same amount of airflow at half the cost.”

InviAir’s linear diffusers can be installed in hallways, bathrooms and other areas.

The company offers three styles of diffusers—linear, round and square—that can be customized for any project or space, as well as square exhaust fan covers.

“Each style can be tailored to the specific aesthetics and needs of the area, whether that’s a guestroom, a grand lobby, a cozy dining area or a large conference room,” said Mascarello. “Our diffusers ensure optimal HVAC performance and align with your hotel’s design integrity, enhancing the guest experience.”

All InviAir diffusers are made from the company’s proprietary wood-based composite material that is both moisture-resistant and fire-retardant, Mascarello noted, adding, “The wood fiber used is certified sustainably forested by the FSC [Forest Stewardship Council] and PEFC [Programme for the Endorsement of Forest Certification]. This unique material, combined with our innovative design approach, empowers our diffusers to significantly cut down on condensation and noise. Additionally, it reduces the carbon footprint compared to traditional metal diffusers. What truly sets our diffusers apart is the versatility of this material. We can create virtually any diffuser shape you require, an advantage that metal diffusers simply don’t provide.”

The InviAir diffusers can be installed in new-builds and renovation projects, or if a hotel is just replacing its existing units.

“If you’re working on a new-construction project, the diffuser would be installed before the drywall for a completely frameless and integrated look,” he said. “If you’re replacing a diffuser, you’d just take out the old grill and measure the size of the opening—that will be the size of the diffuser you need. Once you have the right-sized diffuser, it slides right in and then needs to be secured with a few screws.”

Regardless of building type or diffuser design selected, the company offers support from the design process all through the life of the product.

“At InviAir, we offer unparalleled support to all of our clients, which include architects, interior designers, engineers and contractors,” said Mascarello. “We provide detailed instructions, dedicated phone support, email assistance, on-demand on-site support and instructional videos in three languages to ensure a smooth installation process for our seamless air diffusers. Our team is staffed by professionals with extensive experience in the construction industry, and we are committed to making the installation process as easy as possible. We don’t consider our job done until after the installation; we believe in providing continued support for the lifetime of your InviAir product.”

The company is always working on new HVAC-related solutions. In fact, Mascarello commented that there’s a new project underway.

“Our research and development team is innovating solutions that we believe will significantly benefit facilities with existing HVAC systems,” he said. “We’re in the process of designing a product that could revolutionize the way HVAC systems are retrofitted, but it’s still under wraps. So stay tuned for updates, and we look forward to sharing more when the time is right.”
