Charting the industry for 25 years
If we go back 25 years to the launch of Hotel Business, the magazine presented a lot of its information in the form of (colorful) charts—anything from salaries to ADR and RevPAR to even consumer attitudes about the hotel and travel industries. We now include a stats page multiple times throughout the year with industry numbers and fun facts pertaining to our profession (see page 30), so we thought it’d be interesting to pull some charts from the first issues of 1992 to provide a snapshot of lodging 25 years ago.
