First Hospitality Group (FHG) reopened its Residence Inn Grand Rapids West hotel in Grandville, MI, following an extensive $2-million renovation. To celebrate, FHG hosted an event last month. The event included tours of the renovated guestrooms and public areas, as well as a presentation, in which FHG donated $500, boxes of food and 150 decorated lunch bags to Kids’ Food Basket, a charity that provides food and nutrition to children in need.

This summer, The Westin Hilton Head Island Resort & Spa hosted an unveiling of The Grand Ocean Terrace, a new all-glass oceanfront event venue. The final piece of the resort’s $40-million renovation, this enclosed space is designed for events up to 220 guests. In addition to property ownership, notable attendees included Senator Tom Davis, Congressman Jeffrey Bradley, Hilton Head Mayor David Bennett and Chamber of Commerce President & CEO Bill Miles.

Team members from Hilton and Millennium Hotels and Resorts joined hotel employees to officially welcome the new Millennium Hilton New York One UN Plaza. The ribbon-cutting ceremony, attended by Hilton executives and hotel ownership, was held at the end of last month.

Dorchester Collection’s Hotel Eden, which is located in Rome, Italy, was honored by Virtuoso, an international travel agency network specializing in luxury and experiential travel, for outstanding achievements in fine-dining at Virtuoso Travel Week in Las Vegas. The hotel’s rooftop restaurant, La Terrazza, was recognized as a leader within the industry and was presented with the 2017 Best Dining Experience award. Luca Virgilio (right), general manager of Hotel Eden, accepted the award.
