Ranking owners and developers: then and now

In this issue, we feature our annual Owners & Developers Report (it starts on page 52), which includes our ranking of the top companies that submitted their information to Hotel Business. Since we’ve been ranking them for 20 years now, we thought it would be interesting to compare the top 10 lists from years past to the list for 2017 (chart appears after page 64). Just remember, we rank the owners and developers by number of rooms. Even more interesting? Seeing names of companies that no longer exist, have changed names or, in some cases, are still going strong after all this time.
